Hello girls,
I hope you are all keeping well. Here is a list of homework to do over the next two weeks. Each part is dated, so you can complete the homework on the assigned day. You should have all the books that you need in your schoolbag. When completing the work, focus on your lovely handwriting too.
At the bottom of the homework list, I have some suggestions for ‘Other Activities’ that would be good for you to do, if you have extra time.
If, for any reason, you don’t get your work done, do not worry. The most important thing for everyone is keeping healthy and happy!

Homework Guidelines 2:(30th March)
Hello girls!
I hope you are all keeping well.
I’m sure you are all doing us very proud at home, washing your hands regularly and obeying all the rules set out for us by our Taoiseach Leo Varadkar. Sometimes it is hard to get used to a new situation like this, and that’s okay. But we are all in the same boat (that’s one of our idioms!) and it is the best way to keep us safe and healthy at this time. I really miss seeing each one of you every day in our classroom, hearing the news, and being able to do all our Maths, English, Irish, PE, Art etc. like we are used to. I have so many things that I love to do in my free time, and now I’m getting to do some of them a lot more than I used to! I hope that it’s the same for you at home.
As I’ve said before, these are homework guidelines. All I expect is for you to do your best, and if you don’t get everything done, do not worry! If it is possible to get help from parents or older brothers or sisters on something you’re not sure of, that would be great. And don’t forget, they’ll need your help with other things at home too! If you would like some extra activities to do, there are so many suggestions on our school website under ‘School News’, and ‘Kid’s Corner, Useful Websites.’
I hope that our Kindness Tree will be overflowing with leaves of good deeds by the time we get back to school! If you have done some acts of kindness, maybe you could make a leaf like we do in class, and we’ll add them all to our blossoming tree later.
I’m really looking forward to seeing you all, hopefully in a couple of weeks!

Aim to do some reading every single day. If you would like some extra activities to do, there are suggestions on our school website under ‘School News’, and ‘Kid’s Corner, Useful Websites.’

Week of Tuesday 5th May 2020
Hello everybody!
I hope you are all in good spirits, and had a nice bank holiday weekend. A shorter week for us this week!
I’ve included work below for Tuesday- Friday. Any questions don’t forget you can email me at [email protected]
Please email me some of your maths work (from either Tuesday or Thursday’s daily plan) from the image below (addition of 4 digit numbers) I would love to see what you do- you can email me a photo of your written work, or a typed document. AND/OR take a picture of one piece of work you are proud this week. It can be anything you choose from your indoor/ outdoor activities, written activities, baking, speed tests, maths, art etc.
Do you remember the class novel that we had started reading before the school closed, Under the Hawthorn Tree? Well I have the chapters of it for you to read online, if you wish. I’m very aware of some children’s limited access to devices, so it is completley optional. If you would like to read Chapter One and Two this week, email me and I’ll send it on to you.
Thank you,
Ms. Linden

WEEK OF MONDAY 11TH MAY 2020
Hello everybody!
I hope you had a nice week last week- didn’t it just fly with only 4 days of work?!
I know that you will all have heard the news from our Taoiseach a while ago that we won’t be allowed back to school until September. Even though this is for the best to keep us safe, I was so disheartened to hear this. I’m really disappointed that it will be even longer now until I see all of you. Girls, at that stage you’ll be going into 5th class! You all have worked so hard in 4th class up until the closure, and I am so proud of each and every one of you, and the progress you have made so far. Now we only have about 7 weeks left before our holidays, and I know it’s not easy when we are trying to work at home, but let’s made a big effort to try our best with our school work!
I’ve included work below for Monday- Friday. Any questions don’t forget you can email me at [email protected]
Please email me some of your imaginative writing piece (from Wednesday’s plan) and your subtraction sums (from Tuesday’s or Thursday’s plan) I would love to see what you do- you can email me a photo of your written work, or a typed document.
I’m very aware of some children’s limited access to devices, so if you would like to read Chapter One- Chapter Four this week, email me and I’ll send it on to you.
Thank you,
Ms. Linden
